CLEANING and MAINTENANCE

One of the biggest problems you have in keeping your pool/spa clean is having to constantly remove leaves.
We don’t ever recommend that you use only your vacuum head and hose to vacuum leaves
The leaves will clog your skimmer pipe and shut down your suction. If they do make it through the line they end up in your pump basket requiring you to remove them often during your vacuuming. There are several ways to remove leaves or keep them from entering your skimmer lines.

LEAF RAKES (DEEP LEAF NETS)
Basically you just net out the leaves using your pole and deep leaf net for the bottom of the pool and a flat skimmer net for those floating on the surface.

LEAF VACUUMS:
These cleaners attach to your pole and use a garden hose to direct a strong spray of water up into a net bag that collects the leaves

SKIMMER BASKET VACUUM PLATES:
If you have strong suction these can be used. The plate fits over the top of your skimmer basket and that basket catches the leaves before they can go down the skimmer pipe. You should clean out your basket frequently during leaf vacuuming.
